Pet Sitting Marin, Dog Walks and Puppy Visits Puppy Care

Puppy Care

A midday visit to give your new puppy a nature break, lunch, a crate break, a walk, or some play time can ease your mind and his loneliness.

Also, if your puppy is in training to both take a leash walk and understand a variety of commands/signals, a daily visit can reinforce his learning using a treats reward system, clicker training or whatever other method you have chosen.

This is one of my favorite aspects of pet sitting because puppies are so excited about the newness of everything around them.  They can also be fearful of them as in the case of a puppy I cared for who wouldn't go on a walk.  So I began hiding his treats along the way and he became so involved in his treat treasure hunt that he gradually forgot his fear through positive association.
